State Senator Andrew Brenner (R-Delaware) has announced the allocation of over $2.9 million to support career-technical education programs in the 19th Senate District. The funds aim to prepare Ohio's students for future careers, as highlighted by Brenner who stated, "Career Tech provides students with the opportunity to begin a career without the burden of student debt."

Among the recipients in the 19th Senate District are Olentangy Schools, receiving $2,333,216.00, and Delaware Area Career Center, receiving $649,545.

The funding, sourced from the Career Technical Education Equipment Grant Program, will facilitate the acquisition of updated equipment for career-technical programs. In total, 56 schools across Ohio are set to benefit from more than $67.7 million under this program, enabling an additional 10,345 students to access enhanced educational resources.

The financial support for the program was incorporated in House Bill 33, Ohio's primary operating budget. A second round of the Career Technical Education Equipment Grant is scheduled to open later this spring, inviting schools interested in applying to seize the opportunity to enhance their career-technical offerings.
